Facet was one of the three finalist firms in the Fine Jewellery category of the Inhorgenta Awards due to its excellence in quality, design and craftsmanship
Facet was one of the three finalists in the Fine Jewelry category of the Inhorgenta Awards. There were 140 nominations, which sets a record for the organizers of the event: “This shows us just what the award means to the international jewellery and timepiece industry,” said Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München. “We simply could not believe how wide the range of the nominations was. One piece of jewellery even came from Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.’’
Inhorgenta Munich provides a unique combination of individuality, inspiration, and innovation. There were over 1.000 exhibitors from 42 different countries, about 27.000 specialist visitors from 70 countries and everything in a 65,000 m² of hall space.
For the award nominations, there were several categories: from Fashion Jewellery to Designer of the year, Public Choice Award or Smart & Connected Watch of the Year. As for Facet, we were selected to compete in the Fine Jewellery section against two other German corporations: Gellner and Hans D. Krieger.
The Fine Jewellery category required jewellery with a retail price starting at 1.000 €, with an elegant and timeless design, precious materials like gold or platinum, precious stones and diamonds; high-quality workmanship and a significant amount of handmade work.
The winner was announced on Sunday 24th. It was selected by a jury of professionals in the field like Prof. Christine Lüdeke, Swiss industrial designer and head of the School of Design in Pforzheim since 2001; or Xavier Perrenoud, designer specialized in the industry of luxury and craftsmanship, founder of Atelier XJC, and professor at the ECAL design school in Lausanne. The fortunate champion of the Fine Jewellery award was the firm Hans D. Krieger, to who we send our kindest congratulations!
The Inhorgenta 2019 fair concluded its 3rd edition on Monday 25th with great success.
